Interactive Media Exploration
For my interaction design capstone project, I designed a website inspired by Grimes’s futuristic and cosmic aesthetic. The project highlighted my web development skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript. I combined visuals, interaction, and sound into one immersive interface.
From cursor interactions to scroll effects and sound
Expanding on a cursor-based prototype, I created a site that reimagined albums as planets in a spacecraft control system. I blended scroll effects, motion, and sound to create an immersive music discovery experience.
Illusions with Photoshop and CSS
Rather than building full 3D models, I simulated planets by using photoshopped textures with div structures, shadows, and subtle CSS animations. I achieved a dimensional look without the complexity of 3D rendering.
Responsive design
In 2023, I revisited the project to make the site responsive across devices. Feel free to explore, but a forewarning, the website isn’t optimized for speed, and the copy was written 4 years ago. I’ve since grown as a person.
